The results of a comprehensive study of drinking water consumption in Córdoba, Spain, are presented in this paper. Annual, weekly and daily demand patterns have been estimated using 5-year water supply and billing data. Unaccounted-for water has also been analysed, obtaining useful information for both urban development planning and water distribution system modelling. This work may serve as a reference to cities whose size, population and other features are similar to those of Córdoba.
