AQUA – Water Infrastructure, Ecosystems and Society issues a formal retraction in relation to the above article by Chen Zhou, Ping Zhou and Xuan Xiaolan. This decision has been taken due to concerns related to misconduct of a specific editor and their handling of submissions. The authors did not provide a response to our queries during the investigation and the investigation with the editor has concluded. The editor has been dismissed from the Editorial Board of AQUA – Water Infrastructure, Ecosystems and Society.
