AQUA - Water Infrastructure, Ecosystems and Society Special Issue on
Ensuring Water Security for Sustainable Development
CALL FOR PAPERS
Water security in many countries faces numerous challenges. The world grapples with inadequate access to safe drinking water, inefficient water management practices, increasing water pollution, and escalating water demand due to population growth and urbanization. Additionally, climate change exacerbates these issues by intensifying droughts, floods, and salinization. Addressing these issues requires sustainable solutions, including water conservation, infrastructure development, and improved water governance, to ensure equitable access to safe and sufficient water resources.
Hence, this Special Issue serves as a platform to comprehensively examine various water security measures and strategies, such as efficient water management, conservation techniques, wastewater treatment, and desalination, among others. It seeks to shed light on their respective contributions to ensuring water security, emphasizing the positive environmental, economic, and social impacts they offer for sustainable development and regional stability.
We are pleased to invite you to submit a manuscript to AQUA - Water Infrastructure, Ecosystems and Society for peer review and possible publication in a Special Issue entitled 'Ensuring Water Security for Sustainable Development'.
