The surface runoff model, based on the concept of uniform nonlinearity (Dooge 1967), has three parameters. It is shown that these parameters can be estimated from the informaion that can be easily obtained from a topographic map of the watershed. By applying the model to natural agricultural watersheds the reliability of estimating parameters in the proposed manner is reexamined.
