Smart Water and Digital Transition in Water Systems (WDSA–CCWI 2022)
Water systems are facing increasingly complex challenges due to climate change impacts, urban growth, and the urgent need to modernize critical infrastructure. The joint WDSA–CCWI 2022 (Water Distribution Systems Analysis & Computing and Control for the Water Industry) conference, held in July 2022 at the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain, aimed to address this theme.
This Special Issue focuses on different approaches towards the transition to smarter and more digitalized water systems, which is becoming more essential as water demand grows and resources face mounting threats. The topics range from hydraulic system modeling to AI-based leak detection, charging station planning, and water quality monitoring.
