Journal of Hydroinformatics Special Issue on

Next Generation Hydroinformatics Applications in Water Resources: From AI to Digital Twins

CALL FOR PAPERS

Hydroinformatics applications have changed significantly in recent years with developments in information and communication technologies. New novel approaches for resource challenges have been introduced to support integration of big data, systems science, and computational intelligence. The goal of this Special Issue is to collect original contributions of studies from recent developments in this domain. We wish to provide an active forum to initiate novel ideas and technologies which support hydrological research and education on the areas listed below. This Special Issue solicits high-quality original research papers with consolidated and thoroughly evaluated research on various aspects of Hydroinformatics. It will serve as a comprehensive collection of the current state-of-the-art modeling and technologies within this context. The Special Issue will prioritize select articles submitted to the ICWRER 2022 - The 9th International Conference on Water Resources and Environment Research.

We are pleased to invite you to submit a manuscript to Journal of Hydroinformatics for peer review and possible publication in a Special Issue entitled “Next Generation Hydroinformatics Applications in Water Resources: From AI to Digital Twins”.

Relevant topics include:

  • Internet of Things (IoT), remote sensing, and smart water systems for monitoring;
  • Data augmentation and artificial data synthesis using machine learning;
  • Data driven models based on computational intelligence and machine learning;
  • Scientific computing, voluntary computing, intelligent and visual data analytics;
  • Participatory decision support, ethics, and serious gaming, and;
  • Visualization and communication applications using artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, digital twins and metaverse.
