The water level outputs from the uncorrected model (CMB) are used as the system state in the following KF, i.e., . The dynamics of the water level are represented through LM. This LM is carried out at seven sampling stations, respectively, with a 15-minute forecast horizon, which is one time step interval consistent with the numerical model output. The optimal embedding parameters are estimated through the genetic algorithm described by Babovic *et al.* (2005) and summarized in Table 2.
