A comparison of the maximum adsorption capacity (qo) calculated from the Langmuir model with some other established materials is shown in Table 4. Ferruginous manganese ore has a high adsorption capacity as shown in Table 4, but arsenic does not get desorbed easily even on varying the pH (Chakravarty et al. 2002). The material under present investigation showed comparable results.
