pH is a key parameter in oxidation processes. In this context, its effect in both wastewater treatment systems was compared. Table 2 shows TPh and COD removal after 120 min of catalytic ozonation (20 gO3/Nm3; 1 gcat/L) and Fenton's peroxidation ([H2O2] = 35 mM; 40 gcat/L) at different medium pH values ranging from 3 to 7.
