The χ2 test is used to analyze the influence of age, gender, educational qualifications, and profession on the WTU the TWW for agriculture, and the WTP for reuse (Table 2). Irrespective of the age, most of the farmers have WTU the TWW for agriculture, but they are not ready to pay for the reuse. From the analyses on the influence of gender on the WTU and WTP, it is inferred that gender has no influence on the WTU and WTP. Both male and female farmers have higher acceptance towards TWW reuse. This trend is in agreement with Fielding et al. (2018). However, like age, irrespective of gender, the farmers are hesitant to pay for the reuse because of their straitened economic conditions.
Results of χ2 tests on socio-economic profile of the farmers.
