It is observed that the GPM-IMERGV6 and TRMM-3B42V7 have frequent very light rain indicating a high false alarm rate. However, the PERSIANN-CDR (943 days) have a more or less similar number of rainy days with the IMD (930 days) (see Table 6). The IMD receives 1.6% of the total rainfall in terms of precipitation amount, while the GPM, TRMM-3B42V7, and PERSIANN-CDR receive 2.8, 2.1, and 1%, respectively.
