The following meteorological data are for modelling flows in SWAT at daily time step: maximum and minimum temperatures (°C), precipitation (mm/day), relative humidity (%), average wind speed (m/s) and solar radiation (in W/m2). MERRA-2 data were retained for this study. They were collected in ASCII format at 11 stations (existing and virtual) (Table 3 and Figure 3) on the site https://giovanni.gsfc.nasa.gov. The virtual stations were created for collecting data in all corners of the basin, considering that the model chosen divides the basin into sub-basins and that the meteorological data considered for a sub-basin are those of the stations closer. MERRA-2 represents the most recent atmospheric reanalysis of the modern satellite ERA by the Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO) of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). It is one of the few reanalyses close to observations to have all these parameters at once. They, therefore, constitute a good alternative for modelling flows in ungauged regions.
