Coliform organisms have long been recognized as a suitable microbial indicator of drinking water quality. The result showed that coliform was detected at a well; however, three of the wells had no coliform counts. From the tap water samples, maximum coliform of 31 CFU was found at U1S5. The combined effect of the various water quality measures, given by WQI values, was between 13 and 186.7 at boreholes and reservoirs. The water quality of three of the boreholes was classified as excellent water, two of the reservoirs were classified as good water and for a well and in two of the reservoirs it was under the poor water class. WQI results of the boreholes and reservoirs of WQI are shown in Table 5 and that of the tap water is shown in Figure 5. The raw water quality data and the WQI values are given in detail in the Supplementary Material.
