The authors regret that, due to paying attention to the abstract of the articles without reading the text carefully, there was a citation error in the first line of the Introduction section in their original paper and apologise for any inconvenience caused. In the Introduction section, the authors erroneously included references for the line ‘Disaster is a major disruption to the functioning of a community or society involving serious human, material, economic or environmental losses (Lalehzari & Kerachian 2020; Sun & Khayatnezhad 2021; Zhu et al. 2021).’
This has been corrected, as below, and in the online version of the paper to:
‘Disaster is a major disruption to the functioning of a community or society involving serious human, material, economic or environmental losses (Shi et al. 2020; Khan et al. 2020; Chaudhary & Piracha 2021)’
