Water Supply Special Issue on:
Smart Water Supply Systems: Instrumentation, Metering, Controls and Sensors, and Computational Intelligence
CALL FOR PAPERS
Water supply systems have traditionally relied on the integrating several different components, e.g., raw water collection system, water treatment facilities, water storage systems, pumping stations, pipe network, control and actuators, and others. However, the ever-increasing pressures due to energy costs, rapid urbanization, population growth, geo-political problems, aging water infrastructure and others have raised serious concerns regarding the viability of the traditional water supply systems. Consequently, approaches and techniques that can provide additional features for design and management of water supply network have become crucial. In addressing these issues, we aim to publish this journal Special Issue aimed at discussing the role of instrumentation, metering, controls and sensors, and computational intelligence for design of smart water supply.
We are pleased to invite you to submit a manuscript to Water Supply for peer review and possible publication in this Special Issue entitled ‘Smart Water Supply Systems: Instrumentation, Metering, Controls and Sensors, and Computational Intelligence’.
We invite both review and original papers devoted to any aspects for design and management of smart water supply network. For example, the original paper may include contributions on experimental and numerical modelling, the development of IoT solutions and digital water and smart control. The effects of climate change may be taken into account as well as the leak detection and management in water supply system.
