Water Science & Technology Special Issue on

Technologies for Water Quality and Wastewater Management in Developing Countries

Water scarcity is happening around the world, but is felt harder in developing countries, impinging on the socio-economic growth of these nations. Rapid urbanization, particularly in low- and middle-income nations, has caused a slew of water-related issues, such as degradation of water quality, insufficient water supply and sanitation facilities, and the rise of suburban and informal settlements. The need for research, investment and implementation of technologies to provide sustainable solutions for low and middle income countries is pertinent.

With this in view, this Special Issue is dedicated to promoting papers which provide knowledge on novel concepts and tools for water quality monitoring and assessment, sustainable approaches for remediating wastewater and formulating guidelines, policies and regulations for effective water and wastewater management systems for urban areas of developing nations.
